Beach Bag Gift Card Holder Card

Hello!  So good to see you here today.  I'm going to share a card with you that I cased from Chris Slogar.  You can find her post here.  This is Chris' picture.

And this is how I made them my own.

Beach Bag CASE by Jo Anne Hewins

We made these as a Make & Take at a recent Bingo event.  Aren't they fun?  I concentrated on the In Colors just as Chris did with her bags.

Beach Bag CASE of card by Jo Anne Hewins

Start with a piece of card stock measuring 4 x 11.  Score at 4, 5 1/2, and 7.  I used Tear & Tape to secure the pocket on the inside of the card where you would put the gift card.

For each card I tried to use all 5 of the In Colors for 2018-2020.  I used the Sea of Textues stamp set and the Under the Sea Framelits.  The background 6 x 6 In Color Designer Series Paper was cut at 3 x 3 for this card.  That way you can get two from each sheet with some left over.  Add a strip of the same color but different pattern across the card measuring 1/2 x 4.  Add the three kinds of seaweed.  Add the octopus with mini dimensionals.

I did use the Stamparatus to stamp the octopi.  First you need to make a stencil.  Do this by placing a rectangle of card stock in the corner of the Stamparatus.  Lay the octopus stamp in the center.  Pick up the stamp with the clear plate.  Ink and stamp the octopus.  Cut this out with the Under the Sea Framelits.  Don't move the stamp!  Now you can put in blank octopi cut outs in the stencil and stamp them.  It's so easy to restamp if your want them darker or if they didn't stamp well.  It is much quicker this way.

Add a strip of designer paper measuring 1 3/8 x 4 to the inside pocket and add some sea weed.  The inside Whisper White layer is 3 3/4 square.  The sentiment inside is from the Detailed with Love stamp set.  The rest is from Sea of Textures.  I tried to show the pocket.

You'll need two handles for the bag.  I used the Stitched Shapes Framlits for the outside and the Layers Circles for the inside.  I cut them all at once.  In fact I also cut both handles at once so they would match up correctly.  Add Tear & Tape or something a little stronger to attach.  Add one and then use that one to help you place the other so that they match.
