NC Demo Blog Hop for June Something New!
June 24, 2018
Welcome to the NC Blog Hop for June. I'm so glad to share some of the new products with you. You may have just come from Toni's blog. She is one talented stamper! Don't you agree. You might be starting here. Either way, I'm so glad you are here.
Today I'm going to share a scrapbook page with someone new as well as new products. Many of you know that I'm a new grandmother. This page is for little Sagan. I'll warn you in advance that this post is a little longer than usual.
I found it hard to get a good picture of this page. It's really cute in person. I started with the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper. All of the papers used are from the same paper pack. Sagan's room has stars since she has the same name as Carl Sagan. This paper pack is perfect for her. It's also in her colors!
I stamped the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star several times in the upper corner with Gray Granite ink. I then covered the sayings with clear embossing powder and heated. This made the words a little shiny and made them stand out a bit more. I also added the star and the love you saying the same way down the center of the background.
The Large Letters Framelits were used to cut out Sagan's name. I also cut a set from some white fun foam. Adhere the two and then glue to the background. The letters are under the first saying and over the middle two sayings. Make sure that one saying will be under the letters. Add some of the Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the letters. The bow is made from the Silver and Petal Pink Twine.
The Petal Pink stars and hearts are cut from one of the sheets of designer paper.
Use the Twinkle Builder Punch to make a stencil by punching it out of a piece of scrap cardstock. Use the Shimmery White Embossing Paste to make the moon and stars in the upper right corner. I also added just the stars here and there on the scrapbook page. Here's a hint. Some of my stars are not very distinct. Make new stencils once the paste builds up on them. I put a little of the paste on my Silicone Craft Sheet and used the Palette Knives to spread the paste over the stencil. Make sure to clean your supplies quickly. The paste dries fast and is hard to remove once dry.
Lots of the Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins were also added all over the page.
I covered a little notebook to match the scrapbook page using the same papers.
I needed to cut my cardstock at 4 1/2 by 7 for the front and back of the notebook. Adhere using the Tear & Tape for durability. Wrap a double piece of the Silver and Petal Pink Twine around the front cover and tie in a bow.
Stamp the Love You saying again in Gray Granite and emboss with clear embossing powder.
The baby is made with the Sweet Baby stamp set and the Bouncing Baby Framelits. I found that I needed to cut two of the framelit that makes the blanket. I wanted the back where the baby lays to be the same color. I simply cut the back from one of the cut outs and glued it down to the other. The baby was stamped in Memento Black on Whisper White. Color with Blends. I used Ivory, Light Crumb Cake, Light and Dark Old Olive. You really only need to color the top part since the rest will be covered. I put the first flap down with glue dots and the second down with dimensionals. I've added a video to help explain.
I'm new at video. I do have a YouTube channel. You can subscribe here.
Add more stars with the Shimmery Embossing Paste and the stencil made with the Twinkle Builder Punch and the Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
Now my daugter Jessie can keep some notes about Sagan's day to day life.
Don't they pair nicely together! I was so excited to see these great baby stamp set bundles. The Little Twinkle bundle with the stamp set and Twinkle Builder Punch and the Sweet Baby stamp set with the Bouncing Baby framelits can be purchased with a 10% discount as a bundle. If you have a little one or know someone who does, you will need these. I know I did!
Now let's move on to Tracie's blog. I know you'll love the something new she is using! She has such great ideas! Thanks so much for letting me share my new little piece of heaven!

First and foremost, your granddaughter is adorable and I LOVE her name! And the colors on your scrapbook page look great. I haven't added a recent baby themed stamp set to my lineup in a while, so this is on my list. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to see many more pics of Sagan :)
