WINNER OF BLOG CANDY FOR 500 BLOG POSTS: MARCIA ENNS! CONGRATS! Thanks to all of you for such kind comments!
I have to say that the Memories & More Card Packs are usually low on my list. Sometimes, you just need a little nudging. My upline, Patty Bennett, lets us participate in Prize Patrols. This month is a tic tac toe. One of the squares is to make a card using the Memories & More Card Pack. I actually tried to borrow a card from some of my team, but no luck. So I ordered them. Wow! I really love them! The possibilities for making easy cards are endless! Here's my card for today.
The pattern on this card had me immediately. I think it made me think of my younger days. Doesn't it look like a throwback to you? You know, I am not an orange person, but I have used so much of this Grapefruit Grove color. I just don't know what's gotten into me. Well, I do love this card.
The card base is Grapefruit Grove measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The Basic Black layer is 3 3/4 x 5. The Memories & More card is trimmed to 3 5/8 x 4 7/8. Save the long strip. I added it to the inside. Before attaching the layers run a length of Black Satin Ribbon across the center.
Stamp the flower from Healing Hugs on Whisper White using Grapefruit Grove ink. The leaves are stamped in Call Me Clover. Use your snips to cut these out.
The Stitched Shapes Framelits were used to cut a black circle just a little bigger than the flower. Attach this circle with dimensionals. Glue down the flower and leaves. I did put a dimensional toward the end of the leaves where they extend outside the circle.
Add two little banners of the Satin Ribbon.
The sentiment is from the Healing Hugs stamp set. Use the Triple Banner Punch to notch the end.
For the inside of the card simply stamp the flowers and leaves again in the upper center of the card. Stamp the sentiment in Memento Black over the flower. See how I added that little left over strip? Why waste it?
So there you go. Easy to make! I will be using more of these cards to make more cards! Does that make sense? There are several packs of these cards. I'll list them in the products below.
Thanks for joining me today. I do appreciate it! Would you follow me on Pinterest? Do it here.
