Color Fusers Blog Hop for June 2018

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for June. This month we are using the colors Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss, Tranquil Tide, and a choice of neutral or basic.

I'm so glad you have joined our hop. I know you'll see lots of great ideas for this color mix. It's a talented group! You probably just came from Melissa Kerman. She always has such pretty artistic cards.

I chose to add Whisper White to this color combination. Here is my card.

The colors do work well together. The Grapefruit Grove was hard for me, but I'm just not an orange person. In the end, I do love it.

The card base is Tranquil Tide measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. The Blackberry Bliss layer is 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. The Whipser White layer is 3 3/4 x 5.

I used the Swirly Frames stamp set that I got for Prize Patrol at OnStage to make my background. Using all four colors, Tranquil Tide, Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, and Grapefruit Grove, stamp off and then stamp randomly on the white layer. I think I have 5 of each color. I used the smaller square and rectangle for this. My pads are new and very juicy. That's why I felt I needed to stamp off. Before you attach the layers to the card base, run some of the Blackberry Bliss twine from the Nature's Twine pack across the front of the layer. Tape on back. This twine is a little thick, so I pulled some of the layers apart. I used all of the layers, but they seem to lie flatter pulled apart.

The oval is Tranquil Tide and is cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. The flowers are from the Oh, So Eclectic stamp set and the Eclectic Layers Framelits. I stamped the flowers in Blackberry Bliss. Stamp off and then stamp the more solid stamp of the flowers inside. I added the center of the flower in Grapefruit Grove. Cut these out with the dies. For the flower stem, stamp in stamped off Tranquil Tide on Mint Macaron cardstock. Fussy cut this part out and attach to the bud. The leaves are also stamped off Traquil Tide on Mint Macaron. There's a die for that! Attach all parts with dimensionals to the oval.

The only things left are to add a bow of the same twine, also pulled apart and the sentiment. The Hello is from Varied Vases. Stamp in Blackberry Bliss and then fussy cut it.

For the inside, the saying is from Love What You Do. Add frames, stamped off, for each color along the bottom. I added and extra leaf. Very cute!
