Have you seen the new 6 x 6 pack of designer paper called Garden Impressions? Stampin' Up! has done it again! It is so pretty and will be available on June 1st when the new annual catalog goes live.
See how pretty it is? Here's the card I made using one of the sheets.
I love tiny designs so this is probably my favorite piece. Here are the details for the card.
The card base of Night of Navy measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and is folded at 4 1/4. The Crushed Curry layer is 3 3/4 x 5. Crushed Curry is not listed as one of the colors in the pack, but it matches this sheet. I thought is looked a little better than So Saffron. The Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper is cut at 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.
I wrapped the Crushed Curry Solid Baker's Twine around the card 3 times. It's retiring so I was generous with it. As I write this post, it is still available on the Last Chance List. Find it here. I used my bow maker to make a bow of the twine. Add it later with a glue dot.
The focal point on the card is the daisy from the Daisy Delight Bundle. Stamp the daisy 2 times using Crushed Curry ink on So Saffron cardstock. I used my Aqua Painter and some of the ink from the lid of the Crushed Curry pad to add a little more color toward the inside of the petals. Punch these out with the Daisy punch. Use the Bone Folder to curl the petals of the daisies. I curled one toward the front and one toward the back. Use a dimensional to join the two with the curled back daisy on top. For the center of the daisy, stamp it with Sahara Sand on So Saffron paper. Punch it out with the 1/2" circle punch and add with a dimensional.
Stamp the leaf on Granny Apple Green cardstock with the same color 5 times. You'll have to fussy cut this. I attached the leaves after I placed the flower and the bow on the card. Just put them where you like them.
The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. Stamp in Night of Navy on So Saffron cardstock and trim around it.
For the inside of the card, I used a strip of the Garden Impressions paper that was left over. It is 1/4 x 5 1/4. The sentiment is from the Detailed with Love stamp set stamped in Night of Navy. I gave this card to my friend Kaye for her birthday. I did stamp a birthday greeting under the patterned paper strip for her. I thought it looked nice.
