Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #512 Rooted in Nature

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  Today we have a sketch.

CCMC512

I decided to use the new Rooted in Nature bundle to make my card.  Here it is.

CCMC #512 by Jo Anne Hewins

I wanted this bundle as soon as I saw it.  Once I got it, I wasn't sure what to do with it.  I think this is a pretty card.

The card base is Tranquil Tide measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The Whisper White layer is 4 x 5 1/4.  Emboss the leaves on the top and bottom of the white layer.  You can kind of see where the patterned paper will be to help in placement.  The Nature's Roots Framelits have 3 different leaves that just emboss.  I used all three near the top and then again near the bottom.

The patterned paper is called Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper.  The top paper measures 1 1/4 x 5 1/4 and the bottom is 1/2 x 5 1/4.

The tree is stamped in Versamark on Whisper White paper.  Add Copper Embossing Powder.  Melt the powder with the Heat Tool.  Cut this out with the Nature's Roots Framelits.  Attach with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Rooted in Nature stamp set.  It is also embossed in gold.  Punch out with the 3/4" circle punch.  Add a dimensional to the back.  Run the Copper Thread around two fingers several times and then slide off.  Attach to the dimensional and then to the card base.

Here is a pic that might show the leaf embossing a little better.  It's very soft.

For the inside, the sentiment is from Rooted in Nature and is stamped in Tranquil Tide.  A 1/4 inch piece of designer paper is added near the bottom.  I did add a few more embossed leaves.

This card could be masculine but would not have to be.  It could work for any occasion.

Be sure to look at the other cards made using this sketch at Create with Connie and Mary.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  The new annual catalog begins tomorrow!  That's so exciting!  You just might want to order the Stameratus tomorrow early.  I would be happy to help you with that.
