Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #508 Sea of Textures

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  Our challenge #508 is a sketch.

My card may not look exactly like the sketch.  It's turned upside down.  Funny, I ran off the sketch and set out to make my card.  When I was almost finished, I noticed that I had turned my paper the wrong way.   It was just too late to start over.  I liked the card I had.  What do you think!

I also may have added a few things to the left of the sketch.  Sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

Start with a card base of Tranquil Tide.  The patterned paper used in today's card is the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper.  It's cut at 4 x 5 1/4.  The strip of paper down the right side is cut 1 1/4 x 5 1/4.  For the squares, use the smallest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  All the paper for this card is from the Tranquil Textures pack.  Go ahead and add the thin strip.

You'll want to complete each square prior to adding it to the card.  Underneath, add some net by cutting some Crumb Cake cardstock out with the Under the Sea Framelits.  Stamp some Crumb Cake ink on the net with the textured stamp.  This will just add some interest.

For the top square, cut out some of the fish in Night of Navy.  Add some of them to the card.  These fish are tiny.  Cut some of the coral and add the tips coming from the top of the square.  Once glued down, trim the rest of the coral away.  I used Mint Macaron for the coral.

The middle square has the two coral pieces attached.  One is cut in Fresh Fig and the other is in Mint Macaron.

The bottom square has two of the seaweed.  I'm not a real ocean girl so I might not have named these correctly.  One is cut in Fresh Fig and the other in Mint Macaron.  Stagger them on the card.  Add a tiny navy starfish.  This is all part of the Under the Sea Framelits.

Attach all of the square with dimensionals.

I used the Stamperatus to stamp the octopus.  Often solid stamps like this one do not stamp solid.  I did stamp the octopus 2 or 3 times to get a good deep color.  I used Fresh Fig for the octopus.  Use the Under the Sea Framelits to cut this out.  Add with the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the Sea of Textures stamp set and punched with the Classic Label Punch.  Add it with dimensionals, too.

Stamp another octopus in Fresh Fig on the inside.

I know I'm going to enjoy the Sea of Textures Bundle.  You will be able to get this with the new catalog beginning June 1st.  You can pick up that Stamperatus then, too!  I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek!
