Apron of Love Swap Card for My Southern Belles Group

As soon as I saw that the Apron of Love stamp set would be carried over to the new annual catalog, I ordered it. I had been on the fence about it. I think it could be great for so many things: mother, father, cookout party invitations, cooking of all kinds, even art. I made a card about stamping!

I love it! Did you notice the new In Colors in the pocket? That's something all of the stamping world is excited about!

Start with a card base of Night of Navy measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Fold at 4 1/4. The patterned paper is new. It comes from the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper and is cut 4 x 5 1/4. The navy paper is from the Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper. It measures 1 1/2 x 5 1/4.

The Layering Circle Framelits were used to cut out the fig circle. It comes from the Tutti Frutti paper, too.

Cut the apron using the Apron Builder Framelits out of the Night of Navy cardstock. Make a pocket for the apron by using the Stitched Shapes smallest squares. Just trim a little off the top. Put glue around the three edges and adhere. Cut strips of the new In Colors about 1/4 inch wide and 1/2 inch long. Our new colors are Color Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, and Pineapple Punch. They are such lovely bright colors. You will love them. Cut scissors with the die in the Apron Builder dies. Use the Silver Foil Sheets for this. Add a little glue and stick them in the pocket, too.

Stamp the I heart stamping with Whisper White Pigment ink on Night of Navy cardstock. Trim around it and add to the top of the apron like a little patch.

Cut out the neck string and the side strings with the Apron Builder dies from Night of Navy. I attached these with the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Add a few more dimensionals and attach to the card.

Here's the inside of the card.

The sentiment on the inside is from the Apron of Love stamp set. Add a few of the scissor stamps. I also added more of the strips of the new In Colors.

I thought this card was really cute. It took a little time with all of the pieces, but really wasn't that hard. It was fun!
