Southern Serenade in Copper!

I love the Southern Serenade stamp set.  I'm sharing a card today that we'll be making in my April card class.  I'm excited about how it turned out.

Southern Serenade with Copper Emboss by Jo Anne Hewins

It looks a little fancy, doesn't it!  The card base is Pool Party 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.

Stamp the base with the lacy looking stamp set in Pool Party ink.  Let this dry just a little.  We don't usually wait for this type of ink to dry, but I want to make sure that none of the Copper Emboss Powder sticks to it.  Make sure that you rub over the whole front of the card with the Embossing Buddy.  The stamp I used is from the Timeless Textures stamp set.  Stamp this in Versamark randomly over the front of the card.  Apply the copper powder and heat with the Heat Tool.

Cut a piece of Watercolor Paper 2 1/2 x 3 3/4.  Stamp the flower stem in Versamark and emboss with the copper powder.  Make a wash of Pool Party color by mashing the lid of the Pool Party pad.  You'll get ink in the lid.  Using the Aqua Painter, add a drop of water, mix, and apply to the paper.  Let this dry completely.  You can use the Heat Tool to speed this along if you wish.  Spritz some Night of Navy sprinkles by pulling the large end of the marker against the lid of the marker.  Add a few sequins from the Tutti Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequin pack.

Add a bow made with Copper Trim.  The word friend is from the Waterfront stamp set.  Stamp in Versamark on a scrap of Watercolor Paper.  Emboss with the copper emboss powder.  Trim around the word.  Add to the Watercolor panel.  Attach this panel with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, stamp more of the lacy stamp round the edges.  The saying is from Serene Serenade.

This card is so elegant!  I could see it being a wedding card with a few little changes.
