More with the March Paper Pumpkin

Hello!  On Thursday I shared a card made using the March Paper Pumpkin.  To see that post go here.  Today I want to explore the March Paper Pumpkin a little further.  These are the cards made pretty much according to the directions for this kit.

These vintage look cards and envelopes are so striking.  They are perfect for Paper Pumpkin's 5th anniversary.

Of course there are those who like to think outside the box and make up new projects using the pieces of the kit.  I decided to make 3 cards do just that.

This card has a base of Lemon Lime Twist.  There are several layers.  The Soft Suede layer is 3 3/4 x 5.  Add a layer of Whisper White, 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.  The next layer is from the inside of one of the envelopes.  It measures 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.  Stamp the sentiment from the kit stamp set in Early Espresso.  Add with dimensionals.  Add leaves and flowers gluing some down and some mounted on dimensionals.  Add pearls in the center of the circles.

For this card, the base is Thick Very Vanilla 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.  Stamp around the outer edges of the card front in Soft Suede using the leaves from the kit stamp set.  Again, there are several layers.  The So Saffron layer measures 3 1/4 x 4 3/4.  The Soft Suede layer is 3 1/8 x 4 5/8.  The printed layer from the kit is cut at 3 x 4 1/2.  I used the Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon with this card.  The banner is part of the kit.  The flower is also from the kit.  The leaves are stamped in Soft Suede onto Old Olive and cut out.  Add a bow with a rolled up glue dot to the front.  I think this one is my favorite!

This card has a base of Crumb Cake 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Fold at 4 1/4.  The layer is from the inside of an envelope.  It measures 3 1/2 x 4 1/2.  The top of an envelope was added to the front of the card.  Tie the linen thread from the kit around twice and tie in a bow.  I used some of the wooden elements that were included in the kit as a free gift.  Lay them on the ink pad and gently press to color.  Add the wooden elements along with punch outs from the kit.  The Happy Birthday is part of the kit stamp set.  Stamp in Lemon Lime Twist and trim around the words.  Finish with a few of the pearls from the kit.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop: Favorite Designer Series Paper

Welcome to the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.  This month we are celebrating our favorite designer series paper!

My favorite is the Tutti Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper!  I love the sides that have all of the tiny prints.  I'm not sure that the word love is strong enough!  Sometimes retirement can be hard!  I'll hate to see this paper go.  Here is my card for today.

I've paired my favorite paper with my favorite framelit, the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. The card base is Crumb Cake and measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Fold at 4 1/4.

The Crumb Cake stripe paper is cut at 4 x 5 1/4.

The stems and leaves for this card are cut from the Lemon Lime Twist squares paper.  I did add some extra leaves out beyond the flowers.  The flowers and centers are all cut from the paper from this pack.  Colors are Calypso Coral, Night of Navy, Fresh Fig, and Peekaboo Peach.  Don't they all look great together.  The larger centers are made using the 1/2" circle punch.  The small centers are punched with the Holly Berry Builder punch.

This card is filled with my favorites.  I'm am beyond happy to find out that the Night of Navy Gingham ribbon will be in the new annual catalog!  See how perfectly it brings this card together.

The word friend for the tag is stamped in Night of Navy on a Whisper White scrap.  Friend is from the Waterfront stamp set.  Punch with the 3/4" circle punch.  Adhere to a Lemon Lime Twist base made using the 1 inch circle punch.  Using the 1/16th handheld punch, make a hole at the top of the tag.  Attach the tag with Linen Thread.  That's another favorite of mine!

The inside of the card has a sentiment from Waterfront.  Add a few more flowers to the inside.  So cute!

There is very little actual stamping on this project, but sometimes that's all right.  Cutting these flowers was easy, but it did take a little time.  I cut several different flowers at one time to help with this.

Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #506 Paper Pumpkin for March

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week we have a sketch for you.

I'm using the March Paper Pumpkin to make my card for the week.  I have a card for you today and several more using the March Paper Pumpkin for you tomorrow.  Here is the card for today.

The Paper Pumpkin makes this card fast and easy.  I started with a card base of Thick Whisper White measuring 4 1/4 x 11.  Score at 5 1/2.  Then use your bone folder to burnish the fold.

The Crumb Cake diagonal stripe paper is from the Tutti Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack.  I seem to be obsessed with it lately!  Cut the paper 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 to cover the whole front of the card.

Use the Lots of Labels Framelits to cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Cut it straight across the top.  Use the next smaller size to cut a piece from the printed crumb cake paper from the kit.  Layer and add to the card front.  Stamp the hello on the front using Early Espresso ink.  It's from the stamp set included in the kit.

Run the linen thread from the kit around the card twice near the top of the labels.  Tape near the top of the labels so that the tape will be covered with the leaves.

Punch out the leaves for the card and add with dimensionals.  Add the pink flower.  Make a linen thread bow and add to the card. 

That's all there is to it.  Easy!

Here is the inside of the card.  I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso.  It's from the kit stamp set.  Add a strip of the crumb cake patterned paper measuring 1/2 inch across.  Stamp the leaves from the same set in Old Olive on Old Olive paper and cut out.  Stamp the flower in Early Expresso on Blushing Bride.  Cut this out too.  Adhere on the card.

This was truly one of the best Paper Pumpkin kits ever!  Love it!  Stay tuned for more ideas with this kit tomorrow!

One Wild Ride Motorcycle Card

One Wild Ride is a great stamp set.  I really didn't have anyone I thought needed a motorcycle, but I did buy it.  The card I am showing today was very popular in my card class.

This card is most certainly not original, but I added my little twist to several cards I saw on Pinterest.

The card base is Smoky Slate cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

The Whisper White layer is 4 x 5 1/4.  Stamp the textured piece on the white layer with Smoky Slate.  Cut a piece of the Calypso Coral designer paper from the Tutti Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.  The dimensions are 1 x 5 1/4.

I used the Champagne Foil Sheet for the metallic piece.  I cut a piece of 4 x 12 for the treatment planning to cut it down for several cards for my class.  This would be easier than small pieces.  First, you will need to protect your work surface.  Use the Archival black ink pad.  If you look at the open pad, one end of the pad is closer to the end of the case.  Use that end.  Begin off the edge of the foil and pull the pad (ink side down) down the length of the paper.  Repeat if you want your marks to be darker.  Cover the whole sheet and then cut to the size you need.  I used a 3/4 x 5 1/4 inch piece.  Run this through the Big Shot with the Hexagons 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Add the foil next to the Calypso paper.

Stamp the motorcycle in Memento Black on Whisper White.  Use the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut this out and a coordinating Calypso Coral scalloped oval.  Add with dimensionals.

Stamp the badge in Memento Black.  Stamp it again in Calypso Coral on a white scrap.  Use out the journey part and glue onto the banner.  Punch this out with the Best Badge punch.  Add this with dimensionals, too.

The inside of the card is all from One Wild Ride.

Stampin' for Autism Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' for Autism Blog Hop.  You might have just come from Colleen's post, or you might just be beginning.  Either way, complete the hop for great ideas and some interesting facts about Autism.

Here's my card.

I'll give you some tips on how to make this card, but first.

12. The lifelong cost per individual with Autism is estimated between $3-5 Million Dollars.  Wow!

The card base is Thick Whisper White 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.  Use your bone folder to burnish the fold.

The colors associated with Autism awareness are red, yellow, and blue.  I used designer paper for this.  The Real Red and Daffodil Delight come from the Tutti Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper stack.  Pacific Point is from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Each piece is 1 7/8 x 4 1/4.  You might need to trim the edge just a little with you snips.

Stamp the pens from the Crafting Forever stamp set in Memento Black on Whisper White.  Use the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut this out.  The Daffodil Delight scalloped oval is cut with the same dies.  Color one of the pens with the light and dark Daffodil Delight, the light Cherry Cobbler, and the light Night of Navy Blends.  Attach the ovals with dimensionals to the card.

I cut an additional 1/2 inch strip of the Real Red paper to a length of 3 1/4.  Notch the left end using the Tailored Tag Punch and attach the strip with dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the stamp set So Many Shells.  It is on the Retiring List.  Stamp this in Pacific Point ink and trim around it closely.  Attach to the red strip.

The finish off the card add Enamel Shapes in Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Pacific Point.

For the inside of the card I finished the statement from So Many Shells.  Stamp another pen on a Whisper White scrap, color it, cut it out, and glue to the card.  Blends would bleed through to the back of the card.
