Lemon Zest Swap Card for On Stage Atlanta
April 09, 2018
It has been announced by Stampin' Up! that the Lemon Zest stamp set will be carried over to the new annual catalog! Demonstrators like to have cards they can use as samples for customers. We like to use products for swaps that we feel can be used for a while. As I'm writing this, I haven't seen the new catalog. As you are reading this, the Stampin' Up! On Stage events will be over. Demonstrators that attend will have the new catalog! I will have it! EXCITEMENT! Anyway, here is the swap I made for Atlanta.
I will tell you that this has not been my favorite stamp set. I've had it a while and never used it. I must say that I do love how the card turned out. I'm pretty proud of it.
It starts with a card base of Tranquil Tide that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.
The next layer is Crushed Curry cut at 3 3/4 x 5.
The Whisper White layer is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8. Stamp this randomly all over with the lemon slice in Crushed Curry.
Using the Stamperatus, stamp the saying down the right side using the hinge stamping method. Stamp in Tranquil Tide. It looks really neat!
Take a strip that is 1" x 4 7/8 and stamp it randomly in Tranquil Tide with the lemon slice. Add it to the left of the lemon layer.
The focal point of the card is built on a square. The Whisper White square is cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The scalloped square is cut using the Layering Squares Framelits. It's cut from Tranquil Tide.
I used the Lemon Builder punch to punch out all of the parts. They are all stamped on Whisper White. I used three leaves for each card, stamped in Tranquil Tide. Stamp a lemon with Crushed Curry. Add the saying in Tranquil Tide. You want to stamp this so that the lemon can lean over but the saying will be straight. Then you will need to stamp 2 of the lemon slices. Cut one of them in half. Adhere all of the pieces to the square. Some of the pieces will extend past the square. Add the Square with dimensionals.
I always like to finish the inside of my cards. I simply stamped a few lemon slices and added the Happy Birthday. It's all part of the Lemon Zest stamp set. Please excuse the shadow on the picture.
If you got one of my swap cards, I hope you like it. I had fun making them. Here's a picture of a few of my swaps. I made 40 of them.
The Retiring List will come out later today. I'll share it! So stayed tuned! It's an exciting time for Stampin' Up!
