Color Fusers Blog Hop for April 2018

Welcome back to our Color Fusers Blog Hop!   For April we are using the colors Melon Mambo, So Saffron, and Tempting Turquoise.  Can you say spring?  You may have just come from Barb's blog.  She always has great ideas!

I used the Support Ribbon Framelits for my project today.  It's part of the Ribbon of Courage bundle found on page 96-97 of the annual catalog.

Start with a card base of Melon Mambo 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Score this at 4 1/4 and fold.

The So Saffron layer is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  The Tempting Turquoise layer is 4 x 5 1/4.  I like the look of thin lines for this card.

I used the Perennial Birthday stamp set for this card.  I absolutely love the font of the Happy Birthday!  The dots are also from this stamp set.  I used the Tuxedo Memento Black ink pad for this.

The Basic Black layer is 1 5/8 x 5 1/4.  This just happened to be a scrap that I had and it worked perfectly. Yes, I used a scrap!  I like to adhere the two end flowers first and then the middle one so that it is centered.  Place the centers in each flower mixing up the colors.

For the inside of the card, the Perennial Birthday set is used again for the saying and the dots.

Add another flower.

This card is quick and easy to make.  It would certainly brighten someone's birthday.  Using these bright colors together is a little out of my comfort zone.  That's why I love these challenges.

Next up is Beverlee.  I know you'll want to see her project using this color combination!
