Springtime Foils Meets the Note Cards & Envelopes

I'll be honest.  When I saw a picture of the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, I thought that it was just another metallic paper.  Boy, was I wrong!  As a person who isn't that wild about metallics, I truly love this paper.  Today I've used this paper on Stampin' Up!'s Note Cards & Envelopes.  I'll be using these for shut ins at church and also for some RAK cards.  That stands for Random Acts of Kindness.  I have two cards.  Here's the first one.

These note cards measure 3 1/2 x 5.  I cut the stripes metallic paper 3 3/8 x 4 7/8 to almost cover the card.

The ribbon on this card is from the Sale-a-Bration pick Shimmer Ribbon Pack.  It has three rolls of ribbon with Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, and Basic Gray.  I used Bermuda Bay on this card.  I used a glue dot to start the ribbon where I planned to add the butterfly, wrapped the ribbon around the card, and another glue dot at the end.  The butterfly covers those ends.

The butterfly is from the stamp set Beautiful Day.  I stamped it in Versamark on Vellum Card Stock after rubbing the paper with the Embossing Buddy.  Heat emboss with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool.  Color on the back of the butterfly with Blends.  I used the dark Rich Rakzzleberry, Bermuda Bay, and Daffodil Delight.  I did put several coats on it to make the colors more vibrant.  Trim around the butterfly with snips and add to the card with glue dots on the body of the butterfly.

The sentiment is from the So Many Shells stamp set.  Stamp it in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White and punch with the 1" circle punch.  The Bermuda Bay frame is made using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

Add Bermuda Bay Enamel Shapes and a simple ribbon knot.

I do love this card.

The second card uses the copper dotted paper from Springtime Foils.  I used the same dimensions as above for the paper.

For this card I colored in the flowers on another sheet in this assortment with Blends.  I used the light and dark Rich Razzleberry and the light and dark Old Olive to color this flower.  Cut out with snips and attach to the card with dimensionals.  The sentiment on this card is from the Birthday Blooms.  Punch it out with the 1 1/2" circle punch.  The Rich Razzleberry piece is punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  Attach this with dimensionals, too.

I made several different colors of cards using the light and dark blends in Calypso Coral, Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight, and Cherry C0bbler.   I think they turned out nicely.
