In Colors are Picture Perfect!
March 28, 2018
My last post featured the 2016-2018 In Colors that will be retiring at the end of May. These colors are Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum. You can see that post by scrolling on down past this post or you can go here. Today I'll be using those colors again featuring the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set. Did you notice the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes on page 19 of the Occasions catalog? They might easily be overlooked. These cards would not go in the mail, but are great enclosures in gifts and on packages.
All of these little cards are made using the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and the retiring 2016-2018 In Colors. I'll go over each card with a few details.
This card shows really long candles. It's an illusion. Stamp 2 of each candle. I stamped the design of the candle first and stamped off the solid candle before aligning it and stamping. Cut these out and adhere them behind the circles so that they look like an extention of the candle above. Everything is attached to the card using dimensionals. Use the Layering Circles Framelits for the scalloped and plain circle. Stamp the flames in Crushed Curry and cut out. Each of these cards also have some of the sprinkle stamps randomly placed on the card.
This card is so easy. Just stamp 5 of the candles. As before, stamp the design first. Then add the solid part of the candle stamping off first. Add the flames. The Happy Birthday is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White. Notch the ends and add it with dimensionals.
With different parts of the stamp set, it's easy to build one of the noise maker blowers used at birthdays. The long part of the blower is done just as the candles are done. Add the rest. You will have to cut these out with your snips. Place them on dimensionals around the sentiment in the center of the card.
This card also just has stamping. How easy can it get! Remember that it's pretty easy to match the stamps since they are photopolymer. I used each of the In Colors to make a bow. The Happy Birthday is part of the stamp set.
This card completes the set. Just stamp and you are done!
Did you notice the envelopes that are decorated for each card? Here is the inside. I used a 2 1/4" circle punch to make the inside flap of the envelopes look so pretty. The patterned papers I used are Tutti Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack, Petal Garden 6 x 6 stack, Pick a Pattern, and the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I'm going to list here all of the products by Stampin' Up! that will retire. Word will get out and these products will begin to disappear. Usually the reinkers go first! If you like these colors, don't wait. Right now you can also get a Sale-a-Bration free item with a qualifying order. Other items used with these cards will be at the end.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Sale-a-Bration is almost over. Don't let this happen to you!
