Today I am using the Hold on to Hope bundle. This set was created with Brandy Cox, a Stampin' Up! million dollar seller. Brandy is from North Carolina, so we have to root for the home state! This is a great bundle. Here is my card.
We made this card in class last week. I think it's beautiful!
The card base is Tranquil Tide measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded. Stamp over the base of the card with the sprig in the same color. Remember that the middle of the card will be covered so it won't matter if that part doesn't look as good.
Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits and cut the largest oval from Tranquil Tide. Cut a Whisper White oval that is just a little larger using the Layering Oval Framelits Dies. Layer these and add to the card.
The cross is cut with the Cross of Hope Framelits from Silver Foil.
Color the sprig with the Tranquil Tide and the Rose Red Stampin' Write Markers. My group felt like it worked better to color the green first and then the red. Huff on the stamp to make sure there is moisture after all of the coloring and stamp on white. There is a framelit to cut this out, too.
Weave the flower sprig around the cross. Carefully turn it all over and add mini dimensionals to the back so that they will not be seen from the front. Adhere. The cross will not be attachedd to the card in places, but that's all right.
The words are part of the bundle and again, there is a framelit for that. Attach with dimensionals. A few in my group chose to use Tranquil Tide for the saying.
For the inside of the card I used Flurry of Wishes for the sentiment. That might surprise you. After all, that's a Christmas set! I just felt like the words fit anyway. I feel like this set will probably retire. I thought I could use it one more time. The Happy Easter is from You're Inspiring and the flower is from the Hold on to Hope bundle. The flower is colored with the markers.
I used this set on another post here making the box from the Lots to Love Box Framelit Dies. You can find that post here. Recently, I had the opportunity to see Brandy Cox in Charlotte. I gave her my box (and candy bar) since I had made it with her set.
Can you tell I'm a little star struck?
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you like the Hold on to Hope Easter card. This bundle has so many possibilities.
