Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a color challenge using Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, and Tranquil Tide.
These colors scream masculine to me. I actually think this card could be for anyone though.
I'm using the Celebrate You Thinlits. This is a Sale-a-Bration item that you can get for free with a $100 purchase. There's good news. Stampin' Up! has announced that these thinlits will be available in the new annual catalog in June. The even better news is that you can get them now for FREE and enjoy them now.
The card base is Tranquil Tide 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded in the middle. The next layer is Crumb Cake cut 4 x 5 1/4.
Using the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper in the Occasions catalog, cut out 8 of the word YOU. You will not need one underneath the Celebrate.
You will glue these words to the Crumb Cake layer. I put my paper on my grid paper and used that and a straight edge to help me get the words straight. Glue the two words on each end and then the one in the middle. Glue the top row, move to the bottom row trying to match the spacing at the top to the spacing at the bottom. Then glue the words on the ends of the middle row.
The celebrate is cut from Tranquil Tide card stock. It is glued to a 1 1/4 inch strip of Whisper White. The ends of this are cut using the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies. To do this place the end of the paper under the end of the die. Make sure that the other end of the paper is on top of the die so that it isn't cut. Reverse and do the same at the other end.
Put dimensionals on the back of this strip. I used the Gold Metallic Thread behind to add a little more interest to the card. I wrapped this around my spread out fingers about 7 times. Slip it off and arrange on the dimensionals. It still needed a little something. The stars from the Regals Enamel Shapes seemed to look just right!
For the inside of the card, I added a strip of the True Gentleman designer paper 1/2 inch wide. The sentiment is from Picture Perfect Birthday.
I'm learning to do Facebook Live. I've only made two videos, but the second is about the card I shared today and another card using the same layout. I'm going to add the video here. Tell me what you think.
I hope you like my card today. I do appreciate that you came by my blog. The supplies needed to make this card are listed below. Please click on a product to go to my online store! Remember that Sale-a-Bration will be ending soon. You can still get the Celebrate You Thinlits for FREE with a $100 purchase for a few more days!
