Southern Belles Swaps: A Talented Group

Once a month, a small group of demonstrators meet for a meal and some stamping talk.  We've named ourselves the Southern Belles.  I look forward to meeting each month.  It's a lot of fun to catch up on what's happening with everyone.  One of the highlights is exchanging cards.  Let me just say this is one talented group!  Today, I'm going to share with you the swaps I got last week.

Swap 1

This card uses the Party Pandas stamp set and the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  Sara Douglass, the CEO of Stampin' Up!, says that the Party Pandas stamp set is the most popular Sale-a-Bration choice so far this year.  I just love Lemon Lime Twist with black.  Martha is my sister.  We have memories of our kitchen floor being these colors growing up.  Funny, I didn't like it so much then.  I think dad was ahead of his time!

Swap 2

This card uses the Floral Phrases stamp set in the annual catalog.  I love the bit of white embossing.  It's so pretty.  Patti also gave us all a little treat.

Swap 3

I have to admit that I just ate all of that while getting this post ready.  I have no willpower!

Swap 4

Kaye CASED her card from the Occasions catalog on page 18.  Our catalogs are great places to get inspiration.  That gold tinsel trim just makes the card.  They don't call that Painted with Love designer paper Specialty for nothing.  It has lots of shine and glimmer.

Swap 5

This card uses the butterfly from Beautiful Day in the Occasions catalog.  Twila embossed the butterfly in gold.  She colored with Blends on the back of the velum.  She did say that she colored some of the lighter colors twice.  I wish you could see this in person.  It's beyond words.

Swap 6

I think I'm seeing a trend here.  Valentine's cards were definitely the most popular!  This 3D card is spectacular.  It also has the hanging heart.  Debbie is the master of the intricate!  This is so pretty!  It just has to go on display!

Swap 7

Teri is our newest team member.  I met her for the first time last week.  I found out that she is no new comer to Stampin' Up!  She's ready to jump right in.  This stamp set is one that could be missed.  It's in the very back of the annual catalog inside the back cover.  You might wonder why.  Each year Stampin' Up! has a partnership with the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  Three dollars is donated to this cause with each purchase of the stamp set!  The stamp set is called Sharing Sweet Thoughts.  Great card!

Swap 8

Tina likes to wow us each time with a fancy fold or cut!  She did it again.  The paper used is the Tutti Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack in the Occasions.  The stamp is from the Amazing You set in Sale-a-Bration.  That's a lot of cutting!  This is certainly a special card!

Swap 9

Cindy used the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits to make this card.  It's in the Annual catalog.  It pairs with the Bloomin' Love stamp set.  This die is just so pretty and the card is very elegant.

As you can see this is one talented group.  You've already seen my card.

Hanging Garden Luv 2 Create

I shared this card on my last post.  Just scroll down to find out how to make it.  It uses the Hanging Garden stamp set from the Occasions catalog.

Thanks for visiting today.  I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the cards made by my friends.
