You're Inspiring and Blends

I remember when I was little that Mom had daffodils growing along a little brick wall.  I loved going out and looking to see the different kinds that she had.  I have a special fondness for daffodils and for irises, too.  When I saw the You're Inspiring stamp set, I knew I had to have it.

You're Inspiring

Begin with a card base of Thick Whisper White measuring  five and a half by 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.

The patterned paper is from the Color Theory Paper Stack in the annual catalog.  The largest layer is 4 x five and one fourth.  The banner measures 2 by five and one half.  Notch with the Triple Banner Punch.

Stamp the daffodils on Whisper White card stock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Color using the new Blends in light and dark Old Olive, light and dark Daffodil Delight, and light Calypso Coral.  Cut out with the Layering Oval Framelits Dies.  Cut a scalloped Daffodil Delight oval, too.

Use the new Whisper White Organza Ribbon from the Occasions catalog to tie a bow across the stems of the daffodils.  Mount the flowers with dimensionals onto the scalloped oval and glue to the card.

The sentiment is stamped in Always Artichoke.  The words are from the You're Inspiring stamp set.  Trim the saying and cut the words apart.  Use dimensionals to adhere to the card.

Add a few Glitter Enamel Dots to the card.

You're Inspiring card insides

Add the smaller group of daffodils inside.  I stamped on Whisper White and colored with the Blends and then trimmed around.  Glue to the card.  I did this because the Blends do bleed through the paper.

I think we needed a little spring.  I know it's early, but it's really been cold out there!  Springtime in my mind!

Thanks for stopping by today.  My supplies are listed below.  If you don't have a demonstrator, I would love to be yours.  Let me know if you need catalogs.

My keyboard has died. I cannot copy and paste.  I will add supplies to this post when l can.  Thanks for your understanding.
