A Silver Mini Gable Box Valentine Treat

Have you seen the Silver Mini Gable Boxes in the Occasions catalog?  They are just so cute.  You can find them on page 13.  You get 12 boxes for $8.  That's a great deal.

I used the box to make a cute little treat box.  This was a Make & Take at my last Stampin' Bingo event.

Silver Mini Gable Box Valentine Treat

I've seen many use one of our beautiful designer papers as a wrap around these boxes.  They look so pretty.  I decided to try embossing the box.  On page 23 of the Occasions catalog, we have the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.  They are only a little more than 2 inches wide.  I chose the flowers.  Place the box in the folder while it is still flat.  Be careful that the side is centered and straight in the folder.  I did use the old plate that used to come with the Big Shot.  I turned all the flaps back.  This seemed to fit a little better.  When you are finished the sides will be a little different.  One part will be embossed and the other will be debossed.  Just choose the side you like best to decorate.

I used the Sure Do Love You Bundle to decorate my box.  The large heart, the Just For You sentiment, and a smaller heart were stamped in Fresh Fig.  Cut out the hearts with the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.  These were added to the box with dimensionals.  Trim around the words and cut them apart.  They were also attached with dimensionals.

The two other hearts were stamped in Pool Party and cut out with the framelits.  They were attached to the slanted part of the box.

Tie a bow with the Silver Baker's Twine and attach with a rolled up glue dot.  Three Pool Party sequins were added from the Tutti Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins from page 29 of the Occasions catalog.

Finish up the box by adding a Fresh Fig Woven Ribbon bow to the handle with glue dots.

So now we need to fill the box.  My treat of choice was the Little Debbie Fancy Cakes.  Nothing beats Little Debbie!

Little Debbie Fancy Cakes

The cakes are packaged in two packs and that will not fit.  I repackaged them one to a bag.  I used the Clear Medium Envelopes on page 195 of the annual catalog.  These are self sticking.  I folded them in half.  Add a little of the Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie from the Occasions catalog page 13 around the treat in the box.

I think these make a lovely Valentine treat.

I am featuring the Tutti Frutti Cards & Envelopes along with a lot of other Sale-a-Bration items.  In fact, I'm sharing with you most of my class coming up at the beginning of February.  This package of cards and envelopes has 4 each of 4 different card bases along with beautiful matching envelopes.

I wanted to use one of each design for class.  Here are the four cards using the Tutti Frutti Cards & Envelopes.

Tutti Frutti Cards & Envelopes Luv 2 Create February class.

These were so fun to design.  I will tell you that I did go through Pinterest and look for ideas.  You might see some influence from there.  I would like to show you each card and list the Sale-a-Bration items used.  You'll soon understand what I meant when I said the choices are just wonderful!

Epic Celebrations SAB

This card is all Sale-a-Bration!  The banner is from the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper.  All of the stamps are from the Epic Celebrations stamp set.  Even the little dots are from the same stamp set.  I did use the Light and Dark Smoky Slate and the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Blends.

Amazing You and the Celebrate You Thinlits Luv 2 Create February class

This lovely card uses the Amazing You stamp set and the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies.  These dies are available with a $100 purchase.  This is the first time Stampin' Up! has offered more advanced products as choices.  These dies will also be in the Annual catalog in June.  I did add the Night of Navy Gingham bow and a Tutti Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequin.

Lots of Lavender Sale-a-Bration Luv 2 Create class

I just love this card!  It uses the Lots of Lavender stamp set.  The bouquet of flowers is colored using the Blends.  I used the Light Rich Razzleberry, Dark Pool Party, Light and Dark Old Olive, and the Dark Pink Pirouette.  The Stitched Shaped Framelits were used to make the oval.  Do you see more Tutti Frutti sequins?  The ribbon is the Whisper White Classic Weave.  The sentiment here is from the Hanging Garden stamp set.

Bird Banter Luv 2 Create February class

This card uses the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper.  The stamp set is Bird Banter from the Occasions catalog.  The embossed piece uses one of the Petal Pair folders.  The bird is colored with Blends.  Light and Dark Smoky Slate, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, and the Light and Dark Calypso Coral were used.

I think you will agree that you just might need the Tutti Frutti Cards & Envelops.  Of course you just might need Epic Celebrations, Amazing You with the Celebrate You Thinlits, Lots of Lavender, and that great Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper.

Tracie is next on the hop.  You are in for some great ideas!

A Bouquet of Hearts

I've been trying to work on a few Valentine cards.  It's hard to believe that we are already near the end of January.  They say time goes faster as you get older and I'm here to say it's true.  I don't always purchase a valentine set, but the Sure Do Love You bundle spoke to me.  I love the box, but I did not use it for my project today.

Sure Do Love You Bouquet Bunch

This project is one of those that uses a lot is different products.  Hold on to your hats!

The base of the card is Real Red cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  Run the front of the card through the Big Shot with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This folder is on page 13 of the Occasions catalog.  It's hidden in a corner.  You just might miss it.

Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies the cut the largest oval from Pink Pirouette.  This was attached to the card with dimensionals.

The Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies were used to cut the stems from Wild Wasabi cardstock.  Also cut 5 of the little bunches of flowers from Whisper White cardstock.

Glue down the green stems.  Some of the white flowers were glued under the stems and a few were glued on top.

The conversation hearts were stamped in Real Red using the Sure Do Love You stamp set.  Cut them out with the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.  They are attached with glue dots.

The little Real Red and Whisper White hearts were punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  I used the Multipurpose Liquid glue to attach them.

Use the Whisper White  1/4 inch Organza Ribbon for the bow.  It's attached with glue dots, too.

Sure Do Love You and Bouquet Bunch close up

The sentiment is stamped in Real Red using Sure Do Love You.  Punch it out with the Classic Label Punch.  Cut it apart and glue to the oval piece.

Sure Do Love You Bouquet Bunch inside

The sentiment on the inside is from Petal Palette.  Stamp a few more of the hearts.

Sure Do Love You with Bouquet Bunch card

Someone special will be getting this card.  I think it's so cute.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.  I hope you enjoyed it.

Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #494 Sure Do Love You

Happy Thursday!  We have a sketch today for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

I chose to use the Sure Do Love You bundle for my card.

CCMC #494 Jo Anne Hewins

The card base is Thick Whisper White.  It measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and is scored and folded at 4 1/4.

The designer paper used is one of the free choices from Sale-a-Bration.  It's the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper.  The Bermuda Bay layer is 3 1/4 x 4 1/2.  The Calypso Coral piece is 3 x 4.  The bottom layer is put down at an angle.

The banner across the card is from the Tutti Frutti 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack.  It measures 1/2 x 4.  If you haven't looked at the Tutti Frutti paper, take another look.  I was not that excited about the fruits, but the back of this paper is fantastic!  I just love it!

The hearts and the Sure Do Love You banner are stamped with the Sure Do Love You stamp set and cut out wit the Lots of Love Box Framelits Dies.  I used Bermuda Bay ink.  The banner is attached with dimensionals.

CCMC #494 Sure Do Love You inside

This is the inside of my card.  This is all from the same stamp set.  I used Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral.

CCMC #494 Sure Do Love You card

The Bubbles & Fizz is a paper pack that did not appeal to me at first glance.  I'm just not into the bottles.  But Stampin' Up!  has used a lot of little patterns on the reverse of this paper.  I will admit that I have ordered several packs of this paper.  I do love the colors.  It's making me be a little brighter!  It's like the back of the Tutti Frutti paper I talked about earlier.  I love that our paper is two sided!

Thanks so much for your time.  I do appreciate it.  Please come back!

The Tailored Tag Punch Meets Waterfront

Have you seen the Tailored Tag Punch in the Occasions catalog?  It's on page 45, #145667.  I think it could be easily overlooked.

I'm hoping that this punch makes it into the Annual Catalog.  It's really neat.  Today I used it in a different way.

Tailored Tag Punch and Waterfront

I used the punch to add a little interest to this scene from the Waterfront stamp set.  It's a little like a puzzle.

The card base is Pool Party 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  It's hard to see, but I did stamp some clouds in the sky using the Craft White ink at the top.

Using Waterfront, stamp a scene on a piece of Whisper White measuring 4 1/2 x 6.  The exact size is not that important.  I wanted it to be bigger than the card front.  The colors I used are Island Indigo, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, and Daffodil Delight.

Start punching at the bottom of the card and work your way up.  Punch close to the previous row.  As you punch you might want to place your pieces to the side but in order.  I added the punch at the very top.  It was not part of the original, but it did help to get it centered correctly.

Adhere all the pieces with dimensionals.  I did allow the pieces to go beyond the card front.  At the end, just turn the card over and trim the pieces to fit.

Wrap Linen Thread around the card three times.  I taped it down under where the sentiment piece would go.  Add a bow of Linen Thread with a glue dot.

Tailored Tag Punch with the Waterfront set

This is the inside of the card.  I tend to make cards with lots of stamp sets, but this card only uses the Waterfront stamp set and the Tailored Tag Punch.  I love how it turned out.  I think it would appeal to men and women.

Tailored Tag Punch with Waterfront card

I made a Facebook Live video on how to make this card.  Here it is below.

Thank you for reading my blog today.  There is one piece that I did end up having to stamp over.  I tried to match it up, but I was a little off.  Can you spot it?  I'm sure you can.

If you do not have a demonstrator, I would love to be yours.  If you need catalogs, just let me know and I'll get them in the mail for you.  Need some supplies?  Maybe you need that Tailored Tag Punch now!  My list is below.
