A Guy Greetings Christmas

Do you have guys on your Christmas card list?  A lot of my Christmas cards are not that great for a man.  I decided to try a masculine Christmas card.  I went to the stamp set Guy Greetings from the Annual Catalog.  This is an easy card!

I wanted to put a wreath on the front of the car, but the ones I had were just too large.  I decided a large Real Red bow was just the ticket.

The card base is Thick Whisper White cut at 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.

Add designer series paper measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 from the Quilted Christmas 6 x 6 stack.  This will fill the front of the card.

Add a banner.  Since my card front is now Garden Green, I went for the Real Red gingham sheet.  This banner is 1 3/4 x 5 1/2.  Notch the end using the Triple Banner Punch.

Stamp the car image with Memento Black on Whisper White card stock.  Use the light and the dark Smoky Slate Blends to color in the car.  I did go around the outside of the car with the light Smoky Slate Blend.  This does add depth to the car.  I'll have to play with it a little more to actually blend that into the background.

The bow was stamped in Memento Black on white.  Color in with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.  The bow comes from the Santa's Sleigh stamp set.  Cut out using the matching Santa's Sleigh Framelits.

Use the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut out the car and a larger oval of Real Red.  Frame these and add to the card with dimensionals.

The words are from the Merry Cafe stamp set.  I stamped the Christmas first in Garden Green and then fit in the Merry in Real Red ink.  Use the Stampin' Trimmer to trim around the sentiment.  It is also on dimensionals.

Add a strip of Quilted Christmas 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack to the inside.  It measures 1 x 5 1/2.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Quilt stamp set.

That's it!  You can whip this up in no time and the men in your life will love the Christmas card they receive!  It's great to use a regular stamp set for a Christmas theme.  I did that last week.  You can see a Christmas card using Sitting Here by clicking here.
