The Merry Patterns stamp set is free with a $300 order from Stampin' Up! That's a big order, but I do love the stamp set. Everyone loves free. We used this set in a recent Christmas card class. Here is the card we made.
This card is a lot of fun! Start with a card base of Real Red measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.
The Early Espresso layer is 4 x 5 1/4 and the Whisper White layer is cut at 3 7/8 x 5 1/8.
Use the Winter Wonder Embossing folder on the top half of the white layer. I added a little Wink of Stella to make it shine. It does not show up in the pictures very well.
The patterned paper at the bottom is from the Quilted Christmas 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack. It measures 1 1/2 x 3 7/8.
Use the Layering Ovals Framelits for the ovals. The Real Red oval is scalloped. The white oval fits right inside. Stamp the deer in Early Espresso. Stamp the sweater part of the deer again in Real Red on scrap paper. Cut it out and glue on the deer. Add some rhinestones on the antlers. Deer need some bling, you know.
Add part of a gold foil snowflake and a few banners. The banners are 1/2 inch wide. The Merry Christmas comes from the At Home with You stamp set. Notch the ends with the Triple Banner Punch. The paper for the banner is also from Quilted Christmas pack.
Here's a picture of the inside of the card. All of it is from the Merry Patterns stamp set.
