I'M GOING TO BE A GRANDMA!
October 20, 2017
My daughter Jessie and son in law Robby are expecting their first baby at the end of April. God is good. You see, it's been a long hard road for them. They have wanted this little blessing for a long time. Things just didn't work out. I don't think we can understand that deep aching and wanting and disappointment unless we've gone through it ourselves. What wonderful parents they will make. And I'm just going to tell you that John and I will be wonderful grandparents. It's our first, too! So when I found out that the test was a yes, I sat down and had a long joyful cry and I made her this card. Stamping is therapeutic, you know.
So you are thinking, what? But you see our baby is coming with a little help of science and what a miracle it is! So many lives will be blessed by this little one. And I have something that not many people have. I have a picture of my grandchild as an egg ready to be implanted in its mom.
Of course we've been praying for this baby and its mom and dad. So far things are going well. We've had great reports from the doctor. I ask for your prayers, too. We are so blessed.
I made this card in gender neutral color. I chose colors I thought Jessie would like. The petri dish is made is made from the coffee cup lid from Coffee Cafe. The egg is the flower center from Daisy Delight. The Labeler Alphabet was used for the lettering.
In the background I put lots of sentiments from various current stamp sets. Some of the sets are Guy Greetings, Lovely Friends, Milestone Moments, and Labels to Love.
Colors used were Dapper Denim, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Fresh Fig, and Blushing Bride.
So, thanks so much for sharing in my joy today. I'll try to keep you updated from time to time.
This was the fridge art the last time we visited Jessie and Robby. See, they are naturals!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my joy!
