Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #477 Vintage Leaves
September 28, 2017
Good morning! It's Thursday! This week the challenge is a color one with Fresh Fig, Calypso Coral, and Pear Pizzazz.
Isn't this perfect for fall. So of course you get a fall card.
Usually, when there is a color challenge, I first look at my designer series paper to see if some of it fits the challenge. It's a starting point for me even if I don't use any. Since there was a piece that fit every color, I decided that was the way to go. All of the leaves were stamped in Fresh Fig and cut using the Leaflets Framelits. Of course the stamp set is Vintage Leaves.
The card base is Fresh Fig measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.
The Calypso Coral layer is 3 7/8 x 5 1/8.
The next layer is cut from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper measuring 3 3/4 x 5.
The leaves are cut from papers from Coffee Break, Delightful Daisy, and the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper packs.
Of course the leaves needed a little embellishment. My favorite stamp set, Painted Harvest, came to the rescue. Still stamping in Fresh Fig, stamp on Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz with the detailed leaf stamp and punch with the Leaf Punch. It's a bundle! I also added some sprigs of Fresh Fig using the Flourish Thinlits. I just love those sprigs with the little dots. Some of these pieces were glued and some have dimensionals. Just make it pleasing for you.
Add a bow of Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon.
The sentiment is from Painted Harvest.
The sentiment on the inside is from Rose Wonder. Add a little more embellishment.
So if you are from the south, you would say Happy Fall, Y'all! It's my favorite season of the year!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I do appreciate it. I would love to be your demonstrator is you don't have one.

Lovely card! I would never have thought to use those color combinations, but, you made them work and the colors look nice together.
