Up and Away with the Color Fusers

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for August!  Today we are using the colors Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, and Whisper White.

Here is my card.

Up and Away with Color Fusers

For this card I used the Up and Away Thinlits introduced in the Occasions catalog and carried over to the new Annual catalog.  I'm so glad that it carried over!  I love that big balloon.  Here are the details for my card.

The card base is Berry Burst cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.

The Basic Black layer measures 3 3/4 x 5.  If you are interested in saving paper, cut the big balloon using the Up and Away Thinlits from the center of this layer.  The Whisper White layer measures 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.

For the white layer, use the cloud stencil from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Mix a drop of Smoky Slate ink refill in with some of the Embossing Paste right on the Silicone Craft Sheet.  Using a palette knife, spread the paste over the stencil.  Be sure to wash the craft sheet, stencil, and knife as soon as possible.  Don't ruin them be letting the paste dry on there!

Cut the pieces that go behind the balloon using Powder Pink and Berry Burst.  Glue them.  The heart, from Berry Burst, is also from the Up and Away Thinlits.  Use the same thinlits for the clouds using some Whisper White scraps.

The sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and the Powder Pink ribbon on it is from the Support Ribbon Framelits.

Pop up the white clouds and the balloon using dimensionals.

Up and Away Color Fusers inside

The sentiment inside is also from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set.  Add another heart and ribbon just as the outside.

I think this is a great card of encouragement, but you could make it for any occasion by changing the words.  The Up and Away Thinlits make it so easy to make that large balloon, and it's so striking with the black outline.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Need some supplies?  Don't forget to look at my Product List after the blog hop list.  It can take you right to my online store.  Follow my Facebook Business page here.

Such a cheerful card! I love how you combined the hot air balloon with the word courage. It would definitely take courage for me to get in one of those. I also love the way you did the clouds!
