Background Bits Host Set
August 23, 2017
Background Bits is one of the Host Sets located in the back of the annual catalog. Those Host sets are on pages 220-223. You can earn the right to get one by having an order of $150 or more. The chart on page 219 explains how you can earn Host Rewards. Do we love free stuff? Yes, we do! Here's my card.
These are my thank you cards for customers this month. For thank you notes, I usually use the Note Cards & Envelopes. I used the Whisper White ones. These are one of the best values in the catalog. You get twenty 3 1/2 x 5 note cards and envelopes for $6.00. What a deal!
For this card, I stamped my own patterned paper right on the card using the Background Bits stamp set. Most of it is random.
I started with the stamp that looks like words. This was inked in Fresh Fig and stamped off. The images were placed focusing on the left and then the right down the front of the card.
Next, I stamped the flower. These were inked using the Stampin' Write Markers in Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide. Some were stamped full force and some were stamped off. Again, these were randomly placed.
Finally the circular stamps were placed wherever needed. These were stamped off.
The focal point of the card is a single flower stamped on Whisper White. It was cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits. A scallop oval was cut from Tranquil Tide using the same framelit set. Dimensionals were placed on the back of the green oval. Top it off with a bow of Linen Thread.
The sentiment comes from the same set. In order to make it show up a banner of Tranquil Tide measuring 1 x 3 1/2. The white piece is 3/4 inches wide.
Here's the inside of the card. I love it when I can make a great card using only one stamp set. But I must admit that I love making cards with lots of stamp sets. I just love making cards!!!!!!
This card was a lot of fun to make. I'll be honest. Coloring the flower stamp with markers did get a little old by the 25th card!
Thanks so much for taking a look at my blog today. Come back!
