Swaps to Share, Day 3

I'm back with swaps to share from the NC Demo Quarterly.  If you have missed the others, and you don't want to, you can look here and here.

The first group of swaps are made with the Eastern Palace Suite.  Two bundles are available for purchase now.  Look in the product list below for more information.

Blog 26

Regina Lokken made this card.  I love how she threaded the strip of paper through the bottom cut out!  The Eastern Medallion Thinlits are just fantastic.  Just look at how lovely the medallion looks with the Dapper Denim shining through.

Blog 25

This card is made by Connie Gentry.  These colors are so pretty together.  The lemon-lime twist is regal with black.  This card has a surprise inside.

Blog 25a

Look at the pop-up.  Love!  I would just love getting this card in the mail, wouldn't you?

Blog 24

The Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper is beautiful.  Pat Wilkinson made this card.  The Tranquil Tide medallion is actually part of a belly band.  Slip it off and it opens from the center.

Blog 24a

Here it is open.  This card is great!

Blog 23

Carol Snow made this card.  She stamped her own background using the Eastern Beauty stamp set.  I love that.  Her card also has a taste of the Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon.  You can get it in every new In Color.

Blog 15

This card features the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack.  It has all of the new In Colors.  Lovely.  I will tell you that this paper does have variations in color by design.  The stamp set is Just Add Text.  The card was made by Patricia Todd.

Blog 16

This card was made by Sharon Maranich.  Once again we have the lemon-lime twist with black.  It's so striking!  The stamp set is Lovely Inside & Out.  I'm thinking that the background stamp is from Work of Art.

Blog 17

Happy Birthday, Gorgeous is the name of this stamp set.  This card has so much detail.  We have another stamp set now that pairs with the Balloon Bouquet Punch. We also have that Berry Burst ribbon pleated on the card.  You should see it in person.  The card was made by Jennifer Granstand.

Blog 18

This card, made by Nancy Phillips, uses the stamp set Ribbon of Courage.  This stamp set was designed by Patty Bennett, my upline.  When you exceed 1 million in sales, Stampin' Up! lets you design a set.  I'm sure this one will be very popular.  I believe just about everyone has been affected in some way by cancer.  Wouldn't this be a great encouragement card?

Blog 19

This is one of my favorite new stamp sets called Crafting Forever.  Of course I would identify.  If you are looking at this post, you do too!  Sharon Verity made this card. She's using that Color Theory 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack.  My daughter is an art teacher, so I have double reason to buy this set.

So there you have it.  I'm thinking that I might have missed trading with someone.  I only collected 26 cards.  If your card has not been featured, then I missed getting it. You must admit that all of the cards I shared are quality cards.  I'm so glad I took part in the swap.

Some of these products won't be in the product list.  They will all be available to everyone on June 1.

Saying Farewell NC Demo Blog Hop

It's so hard to say goodbye.  It just sounds so final, but it doesn't have to be.  More about that later.  The NC Demo Blog Hop is showcasing our favorite retiring products. I'm so glad you are here.  You'll see some great ideas for some of those items we just love.  I hope you'll go to all of the sites.

So many great things are retiring to make room for all the new things.  When you see the catalog, if you haven't already, you will be so impressed!  Let's just say that my wish list is long.  I digress.  We're saying goodbye.  I chose to feature the Botanical Blooms stamp set and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.

Botanical Blooms for the NC Blog Hop

I love flowers.  But, you have to admit that there is a lot of cutting involved when using this pairing.  As one of my customers says, "It's labor intensive."  This card really wasn't that hard.

  • The card base is Basic Gray 5 1/2 x 8 /1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.
  • The diagonal stripe paper is from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.  I think that might already be sold out.  Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out 6 squares for the front of the card.  Go ahead and glue those down.  I did leave a little extra space down the middle so it would match the sides.
  • The sentiment is stamps in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White.  Again, using the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out a circle.  Attach it with dimensionals.  The words are from the Balloon Adventures stamp set.
  • The colors used for the flowers and leaves are Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, and Rose Red.  Stamp the leaves in Old Olive before cutting them out with the framelits.  Some of these pieces were glued and some have dimensionals.  The centers of the flowers are the Brights Enamel Shapes and Metallic Enamel Shapes.  Some metallic shapes were placed here and there on the card, too.

NC Boranical 3

The inside of the card uses the sentiment from Balloon Adventures and a few more Rose Red flowers.

So, why don't you have to say goodbye?  The Botanical Blooms stamp set is 25% off with the cost being $12.75.  The Botanical Builders Framelit Dies are also on sale at 50% off with it's cost $16.50.  The Balloon Adventures stamp set is still available, too. Can you believe it?  You must go to the Product List and get these items while you still can.  Say goodbye after May 31st.

Botanical Blooms

I hope you'll continue on the hop.  You'll be so glad!  Tracie is next.  She is so talented!

Swaps to Share, Day 2

On Wednesday, I started sharing some of the swap cards I got at the NC Demo Quarterly.  If you want to see the cards using the Daisy Delight Bundle, go here.

Today I'm going to start off by sharing some cards made using the Colorful Seasons Bundle.  Here we go!

Blog 10

This card was made by Pamela Smith.  Do you see the cat from the stamp set Sitting Here on the chair?  Pamela says she free handed the hat.  So pretty!

Blog 11

The chair, the chair, the chair.  It's a must have.  Everyone loves the chair.  This card was made by Karel Standish.  That's the new Powder Pink.

Blog 12

This card was made by Martinette Horner.  I love the branch and flowers paired with the Color Theory Designer Series Paper stack.

Blog 13

Debbie Michael made this stunning card.  I love those detailed leaves, too.  The patterned paper is from the Color Theory Memories & More Card Pack.

Blog 14

Tina Lesson, another travel buddy, made this card.  I just love blue and green together.  This ribbon is the Stitched-Edge Ribbon in Pacific Point.

So there are five great ways to use the Colorful Seasons bundle.  The possibilities are endless with this bundle.  Just think of all the fall and winter cards you can make.

Blog 20

Stampin' Up! has come up with a great new bundle called the Birthday Delivery Bundle.  There is the Birthday Delivery stamp set, the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies, and the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper as part of the bundle.  The framelits not only fit the stamps, but the images on the designer paper.  This card was made by Lisa Pressley.  I just love it.

Blog 21

Now, look at how Beth Queen paired the Birthday Delivery stamp set with the This Little Piggy stamp set.  What an imagination!  I think I also spy some of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack.  Hey, I just talked with Beth.  She actually used the Hardwood background stamp for her fence.  She cut it in 1/4 inch strips.  Thanks, Beth.

Blog 22

Marianne Webb paired the This Little Piggy stamp set wit the Daisy Punch.  We missed Marianne at the meeting, but she sent her swaps.  Family must come first!  I'm getting this pig set.  I must have it!

Those are the cards I'm sharing today.  I'll finish up next week.  Thanks to all for such great cards.  It makes it so hard to wait for the new catalog.  There's not a lot in the product list.  Everything will be available June 1!

Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #459 and Baby Bear

Thursday again!  And so we have the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #459.  This week we had a sketch to follow.

As soon as I saw the doily in the sketch, I knew I had to use the new Eastern medallion framelits.  Here is my card.

CCMC#459 Baby Bear

Just to be honest, this is the first card I've made with the Baby Bear stamp set.  I've had it a long time, but I just couldn't make the layers match.  It's a triple stamp set. Then recently Connie Stewart had a blog post about using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig with this stamp set. Duh!  It has opened a whole new world for me.  I will use this stamp set!  Thanks, Connie.

I have another reason to use Baby Bear.  My niece Alison told us all at Easter that she is expecting her first in October.  I wanted to send a congrats card to Alison and DJ. can you tell it's going to be a boy!

Here are the details of the card.

  • The card base is Thick Whisper White cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Dapper Denim layer measures 3 1/8 x 4 3/8.
  • The patterned paper is the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack.  One side has a crackle effect.  That's what I used and it's cut at 3 x 4 1/4.
  • The doily is cut from the same patterned paper pack.  It's a contrasting piece of crackle paper.  I used the Eastern Medallion Thinlits Dies.  I cut this using 3 of the dies one inside the other.
  • The banner is from the same paper pack.  This piece has an ombre effect.  It measures 7/8 x 5 1/4.  Notch the end.
  • The bear is stamped on Whisper White.  First use Crumb Cake for the most solid stamp.  Then use Soft Suede for the middle layer.  Finally use Early Espresso for the last layer.  It's the one that is the least solid.  As I said, use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for this.  You will have to fussy cut the bear.
  • Use Dapper Denim for the bow.  Stamp off for the solid image.  For the more detailed image use the color as is.  Again, I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  Fussy cut the bow, too.  Adhere with a dimensional.
  • The sentiment is stamped in Dapper Denim on Whisper White.  Cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Adhere with dimensionals.

Baby Bear 1

The sentiment on the inside is from Sunshine Sayings and the image is from Moon Baby.

Baby bear 4

Now, I need to address and mail this card.  I'm excited to become a great aunt again!  (My sister's first grandchild!)

Now that you know how to stamp this bear easily, you are going to want it.  Check out the product list below.  Click to go to my store.

Swaps to Share, Day 1

The North Carolina Demo group had one of our Quarterlies this past weekend.  It was so much fun!  What could be better than a room full of friends that love what you love, projects to make, hugging, laughing, prize patrol, swaps, and food and snacks. We had it all and more.  It's so good to see old friends and to make new ones.  North Carolina is truly a fortunate state to live in if you are a Stampin' Up! Demo.  I shared my swap card on Monday.  You can see it here.  Today I'm sharing some of the swaps I received.  Today's cards all feature the Daisy Delight stamp set, the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, and the Daisy Punch.  The stamp set and punch will be available as a bundle.  All of this will be in the new catalog that goes live on June 1.  So here we go!  Enjoy!  Some will be originals and some will be CASEs from Pinterest.

Notice the beautiful patterned paper on some of these cards.  It's the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  This lovely card was made by Toni Campana.

Blog 5

This sheet of daisies makes me think of my wedding way back in 1975.  Melissa Kerman made this card.  Yes, that's new ribbon.  It's the Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon.

Blog 6

I just love the color combination in this card.  This daisy is the new Berry Burst color. Love it!  You can also see the Gold Faceted Gems.  Debra Byrd made this card.

Blog 7

This is one of those fancy folds cards.  The Berry Burst piece actually closes the card by fitting under the daisy.  Here's the inside.

Blog 7a

This card was made by Juliet Meyer.

Blog 8

The daisy on this card is first stamped and then has two other layers of daisy.  It's so pretty.  This certainly shows some of the other stamps in this set.  Gale Presnell made this great card.
