Classy Black and White Stripe

If you have followed me at all, you have probably noticed that I'm not much of a brights person.  The regals, subtles, and yes, the neutrals are more my style.  The black and white stripe found in the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper encourages me to brighten it up.  Here's my card for today.

Falling Flowers and May Flowers

This card uses the Falling Flowers stamp set and the coordinating framelits May Flowers.  This makes for a relatively easy card.

  • The card base is Tempting Turquoise measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Pop of Pink paper is cut at 4 x 5 1/4.
  • The stamp set Stylized Birthday was stamped on Whisper White card stock in Basic Black Archival ink.  Cut it out with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.  I used the largest one.  Attach the circle with dimensionals.
  • Use Tempting Turquoise, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, and Rose Red for the leaves and flowers.  Cut out with the matching framelits.  The flowers that are on the circle are glued.  The portions that spill out over the edge are attached with dimensionals.

Falling Flowers inside

Here's the inside of the card.  I added a turquoise flower and olive leaves.  You'll have to write your own words in this one!

If you haven't used the Falling Flowers stamp set and the May Flowers Framelits Dies, I recommend them.  They really work well with the Magnetic Plate.  They even have little notches on the stamp and the dies to help you match them up easily.
