Have you tried the new 2 x 8 Cellophane Bags in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog? The fact that they are now 2 inches wide makes them perfect for Hershey Nuggets. The combination of the two makes for the perfect Christmas treat! You all have a teacher, Sunday school class, co-workers, neighbors and the list can go on and on. You want to get them just a little something. Must I say it again. These are perfect.
OK, I will say it. Some of my supplies are retired. I'm still working on craft fair items. It's all right to use retired product on craft fair stuff. In fact, it's a plus! I'll tell you now that over the next couple months, you should really check the Clearance Rack. There will be treasures added there from time to time and you can get GREAT deals. Our supplies keep well. Next Christmas, you'll be ahead of the game!
The nuggets for this treat are wrapped in the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack in the Holiday catalog. Cut the paper 1 x 3 for this. I put Fast Fuse on the back and just wrap. Of course the seam goes on the bottom of the candy (flat). I could really have put 5 candies instead of 4. I think if I were starting now, I would put 5. There's plenty of room. The ribbon is retired. I used the Jolly Friends stamp set and coordinating punch, Jolly Hat Builder Punch for the hat. The ink used is Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment is from the stamp set Candy Cane Christmas. I did use the Thick Whisper White card stock for this. It's just stronger for our purpose here. The sentiment is punched with the 2 inch circle punch. Adhere to the bag with Fast Fuse.
This treat uses the retired stamp set Snow Day. I just can't part with this set. It's just necessary for the Christmas crafter. Whisper White is the card stock of choice. I did NOT use the thick for this. It's not pliable enough. Fast Fuse or a stronger adhesive is much better for this. Stamp before you adhere to the candy! I made a little tray for this. The measurements are 1 1/2 x 5 1/2. Score at 1/4 on each side. I used Garden Green card stock. I ran a line of Fast Fuse on the tray to keep the sections of the snowman in place. Once again, the ribbon is retired. The hat is the finger of a glove. I found a two pack of gloves at Walmart for $1.50. Let me know if you have a better deal!
The nuggets in this treat are covered with the This Christmas Designer Series Paper from the annual catalog. The tag is made using Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler card stock. I used the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut them out. The sentiment is from the stamp set Reason for the Season in the annual catalog. The holly and berries are made using the Holly Berry Builder Punch. Use the gold thread from the Baker's Twine Trio Pack to tie the tag to the bag. The ribbon is retired.
So we have three treats for Christmas. Similar, yet different.
These are quick to make and easy. I hope you try it! Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. OK, back to work now!Product List
