Easter Bunny Mini Coffee Cup
February 15, 2016
I'm still working on Easter items for my booth at Shops on Main. Today I want to share with you my Easter bunny made from a mini coffee cup. I got my cups from a friend so I'm not able to give you the link where to find them. I'm sure you can do a search and come up with something. I will tell you that the lids come separately. You must order both.
I cased most of this from Pinterest, but I did make a few changes. I just got the bundle Pyramid Pals and I wanted to use it. I stamped the mouth and the whiskers right on the cup using the new Archival Basic Black pad. It's a photopolymer set so you can see exactly where you are stamping. I put a little Pink Pirouette glow on the cheeks with a sponge dauber. The nose is made with the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. I did sponge around the heart. In fact, I sponged around everything. It just helps to make more definition. The eyes are punched with the 1/2 inch circle punch. I added a little glimmer with a white gel pen.
The feet are punched from Whisper White using the Large Oval punch. The little pink pads are stamped using the end of a pencil eraser and of course they are sponged with Pink Pirouette too. I attached them with Tear & Tape. I wanted them to be secure.
Now on the lid I did use some retired product. The ears are cut using the oval framelits and Whisper White cardstock. The inside of the ears are punched with the Large Oval Punch. This paper is retired, but you can use the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack. Sponge around the ears and the patterned paper too. I glued the patterned paper to the white. The ears are attached to the lid of the cup with Tear & Tape. I put it at the very bottom of the ear. They are very sturdy. I added a bow made with the old Primrose ribbon.
You can see where the ears are attached in this picture of the back of the bunny. I added a little tail on the back punched from the retired Boho Blossoms punch. The current Blossom Bunch Punch would be great for this also. Sponge it and add it with a Stampin' Dimensional.
My bunny mini coffee cups are ready to fill with Easter Hershey kisses. Now that Valentine's Day is passed, we should see the Easter candy fill the shelves.
If you missed my post on Friday, please look at the carrots that I made for Easter using the Polka Dot Cellophane Bags. They are really cute. Check back in on Wednesday. I'll share another item using the mini coffee cups! Thanks for looking today!
