A Chick for Easter

I've been sharing 3D items I'm making for my booth at the emporium Shops on Main in downtown Conover, NC.  I'm happy to say that I have completed making my Easter items and I'm ahead of schedule.  I love when that happens! Now I can concentrate on upcoming classes.  Oh, yes, I do have classes that I hold in my home.  Let me know if you are interested.  But I digress.  Here's my chick for Easter.

ChickMy chick is made using the Pyramid Pals bundle.  I was not going to get this bundle.  I resisted, but I had to have it after seeing so many samples of items others had made.  Stamping is like that.  We all tempt each other.  Plus, I can always use 3D items for my booth.  Look at the video from Stampin' Up!

I used the Big Shot to cut out my chick in So Saffron.  You need to cut 2 of the base and two wings.  You will need one beak cut from Tangelo Twist, and the top head feathers cut from Real Red.  The video shows you how to put it together.  I stamped the eyes with Basic Black Archival ink and the triangle shapes with Soft Suede ink.  I used a sponge dauber to sponge around all of the surfaces for that finished look.  I used Tear & Tape to adhere the wings and the sides of the box.

The box holds a Tootsie Roll Pop.  I put the head feathers directly around the sucker stick so they would stick out of the top of the box.

I had to cut just a little off the top of the back of the box so there would be room for the stick to come out of the box.

I put the sucker inside the box and then adhered the back.  I did tape it permanently with the Tear & Tape since it would be in a store.  You wouldn't have to do that to give to a friend.  The only thing left to do is fluff out the head feathers.

Here's what the back looks like.  And here's a picture of some of my chicks.

Chick groupI think they are so cute!  I've shared with you all of the items I'll have for sell.  I have also given you plenty of time to make some of these for yourself.  Each day the supplies needed were listed for each project.  Did you know you can order these items from me?  Click on an item and you'll go to my store.  Or just contact me and I'll be glad to help you.  Here's my group of items.

Easter groupThese items will be at Shops on Main beginning in March!  Thanks so much for checking in today.  See you Wednesday!
