I have a class coming up next week. One of the cards uses the stamp set Flurry of Wishes. Let me tell you how I made it.
This card is beautiful in person! I started with Lost Lagoon card stock cut to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and scored on the long side at 4 1/4. Use your bone folder to get a good crease. The Whisper White back ground is cut to 5 3/8 X 4 1/8. That's just a little bigger than usual. I used the stamp that has the two snowflakes on it and stamped around the outside of the white background. I cut a piece of the watercolor paper to 4 1/4 X 3. I used painter's tape to tape 1/4 inch all around the watercolor paper. Use you grid paper to help you with this.
I taped directly onto the grid paper. I used the embossing buddy all over the watercolor paper. Using VersaMark, stamp the middle sized snowflake and the double snowflakes wherever you want them. Be very careful. You can't really see where you are stamping. Next, I used the silver embossing powder and the heat tool to set the design.
You'll need to have your aqua painter now and the Lost Lagoon ink pad. Push down on the top of the pad so you get ink in the lid. Wet your whole surface with water and then begin spreading ink over the design. The silver embossing will resist the ink. Keep adding ink until you are happy with the color. Allow this to dry or you can dry it with you heat tool. Slowly pull off the painter's tape all around.
Mount this on a piece of Lost Lagoon cut at 3 1/8 X 4 3/8. Tie the 1/8 inch silver ribbon around the bottom and mount this to the background using dimensionals. Stamp, using VersaMark, on a piece of scrap Whisper White paper using the saying Believe from the set Lighthearted Leaves. Emboss with silver and punch this out using the extra-large oval punch. Use dimensionals to adhere this. I topped it off with a rhinestone for the dot over the i.
I felt this worked perfectly with the saying from Flurry of Wishes on the inside.
I sure hope the people in my class enjoy making this card. Thanks for reading!
