Cards- Valentine's Day

Sure Do Love You Bundle Makes a Happy Valentine's

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!  I have one last card using the Sure Do Love You bundle.  I am a part of Patty Bennett's Luv 2 Stamp group.  She has challenged us to make valentines and send them to each other in the group.  It's been a lot of fun seeing samples of all the cards that have been made.  Here is the card I made for the occasion.

Sure Do Love You bundle and Petal Pairs EF Luv 2 Create

The card base is Real Red 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The next layer is Whisper White measuring 4 x 5 1/4.  Emboss the lower 2/3 of the card with the stem folder from the Petal Pairs Embossing Folders.  This is a narrow folder so you'll have to emboss it, move the folder, and emboss again.

Stamp the three different conversation hearts from Sure Do Love You three times.  Stamp in Real Red.  I put all three of the stamps on one block.  Cut out with the Lots to Love Box Framelits.  Adhere these hearts across the card just where the embossing ends.  I started at the center of the card and worked my way out.  Some hearts are attached with snail and some use dimensionals.

Stamp the banner from Sure Do Love You in Real Red and cut out.  I cut two of the leaf stems from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies.  Use Pear Pizzazz.  Trim a few pieces and add to the back of the banner.  Use dimensionals to adhere.

The bottom of the card seemed to need something.  I cut pieces of leaves and glued them to the card.  Add tiny hearts punched from Real Red using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.

Sure Do Love You inside

The inside of the card uses the Amazing You and the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies.  These are choices from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  Add a little leaf and heart in the upper corner and another conversation heart in the bottom corner.

This card has been mailed to someone in the Luv 2 Stamp group.  I hope they like it!

Now that Valentine's Day is here, we'll have to work on ways to use the Sure Do Love You bundle in other ways.  This is my challenge to you.  Let me know how you use the bundle!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentine's Day!

A Simple Note Card with Sure Do Love You

Yes, I do realize that I have benged on the bundle Sure Do You Love.  I think you could say that I have gotten my monies worth!  Today I have a very simple card.  In fact I made 25 of these note cards in one evening.  I have two versions of the card.

Note Card Valentine Sure Do Love You Luv 2 Create

This is the first.

Note Card Valentine 2 Sure Do Love You Luv 2 Create

And this is the second.

The Note Cards & Envelopes in Whisper White are found on page 195 of the Annual catalog #131527.  You get 20 cards and envelopes for $6.  They are 3 1/2 x 5.  They can be mailed.  This is a bargain!  They are even scored for you!

The Melon Mambo layer measures 2 5/8 x 4 1/8.  The Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper is cut at 2 1/2 x 4.  Choose a little of another paper in the Painted with Love pack for a banner 1/2 x 3 3/4.  Notch the left end.  I chose 2 papers from the pack and used them on both cards for this part.

For the heart, cut from the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies, use another piece of the Painted with Love paper.  Adhere with dimensionals.

Stamp JUST FOR YOU on scrap Whisper White.  Cut the words apart and mount them on dimensionals, too.

That's all there is to it.

Note Valentine inside

This is what is on the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set.  The heart, stamped in Melon Mambo is from Sure Do Love You.

Color Fusers Blog Hop for February 2018

Welcome to the February Color Fusers Blog Hop.  I'm so glad you are here!  You might have just come from Beverlee's post or maybe you are just starting.  Whichever, you'll want to visit each site on the hop.  Today our color palette consists of Real Red, Powder Pink, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray.  These are such soft colors and then there is that blast of Real Red.

 No automatic alt text available.

I wanted to make a Valentine's card since it is Frbruary and the colors are perfect.  I've also been challenging myself to use some of the stamp sets I haven't used.  You don't have any of those, right?  I love the stamp set Bike Ride, but I was intimidated by it.  I just wasn't sure I could put a bike together.  I found that this set is just plain easy to use!  Here is my card.

Bike Ride for the Color Fusers Luv 2 Create

Let me start off by saying that I used a lot of products.  Sometimes I just like to show how our products go so well together even when not planned that way.

Start with a base of Thick Whisper White cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 and folded.  Use that bone folder to make a nice crease.

The card base is covered with Powder Pink circles.  This circle came from the Waterfront stamp set.  You could also use a Sponge Dauber.  Some of our other sets also have circles, too.  These are stamped randomly.  Don't forget to let some of them go off the sides of the paper.

There is a layer of Powder Pink card stock.  It is 3 x 4 1/4.

The next layer is Basic Gray measuring 2 3/4 x 4.  I used the Embossing Paste from the Annual catalog, the Palette Knives, and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to lay down some texture.  Add a drop or two of the Smoky Slate inker and mix it in the paste.  I think the brick wall background is perfect.  Be sure to wash your supplies immediately before they dry!

The bike is stamped in three parts, the main frame, and the two wheels.  Cut it out using the Build a Bike Framelits Dies.  Glue together.  Why did I ever think that would be hard?  Attach the bike with dimensionals.  I let part of it hang off of the center rectangle.

The balloons are made using the Sure Do Love You Bundle.  The hearts are stamped in Real Red and cut out with the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.  Attach some of the Silver Baker's Twine to each heart with a glue dot.  There is another glue dot behind the handle bars of the bike.  Attach the other end of the twine and trim.  I did place the bike where I wanted, made a mark where I wanted the strings to end, took the bike away and added the glue dot.  So I'm saying that you should attach the balloons and then the bike, I guess.  The balloons are on dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Petal Palette stamp set.  I colored it in with the Basic Gray and the Real Red Stampin' Write Markers.  Punch out with the Classic Label Punch.  The left end is on dimensionals and the right end is attached with snail.

Bike Ride and Sure Do Love You

So there you have it.  Quite pretty!  I hope you will try it.  I challenge you to get out a set you haven't used and just use it!  Let me know what you make!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will continue on the hop.  Next up is Katie!

Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #495 Sure Do Love You

Hello to another wonderful Thursday!  Here at the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge, we are using the colors Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, and Rich Razzleberry.

Now I know some of you will just swoon over these colors, but they are not my cup of tea.  I don't really like pinks and oranges.  However, I do feel like I came up with a very pretty card for this challenge.

CCMC#495 Jo Anne Hewins

I hope you like it.  The star of this card is the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  One piece had the colors from our challenge so I chose to use that one.

The card begins with a base of Rich Razzleberry measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

Of course there has to be a little shimmer to the card.  Use a 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 piece of the Gold Foil Sheets.  Before adhering to anything cut the YOU and the AMAZING from the center of the piece of gold.  It saves paper and it will be covered up so one one will see.

The Melon Mambo layer measures 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.  The designer paper is cut at 3 3/8 x 4 5/8.  That's a lot of layers, but it is so pretty!

The large heart is stamped on Rich Razzleberry with Versamark.  The stamps for this card are from the Sure Do Love You stamp set.   Add Gold Emboss Powder and heat with the Heat Tool.  Cut with the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.  Add some of the Gold Metallic Thread behind the heart.  I attached the heart with glue dots.  It's easy to get the metallic thread down that way.  The leaves and smaller heart are stamped and cut using the Sure Do Love You Bundle.

The Sale-a-Bration Thinlits set Celebrate You were used for the words.  You can pick these framelits for free with a $100 purchase during Sale-a-Bration.  They also coordinate wit the Amazing You stamp set.  You can pick this stamp set with a $50 purchase.  The "are simply" were stamped in Rich Razzleberry and cut apart and added to the card.

CCMC495 inside

Here's the inside of the card.  These are bold colors.  I stamped them off 2 times before stamping them on the card stock.  The words, from Sure Do Love You, are stamped in Rich Razzleberry without stamping off.

I wasn't sure about ordering another Valentine bundle, but I have used it so much!  I'm so glad I did.

A Bouquet of Hearts

I've been trying to work on a few Valentine cards.  It's hard to believe that we are already near the end of January.  They say time goes faster as you get older and I'm here to say it's true.  I don't always purchase a valentine set, but the Sure Do Love You bundle spoke to me.  I love the box, but I did not use it for my project today.

Sure Do Love You Bouquet Bunch

This project is one of those that uses a lot is different products.  Hold on to your hats!

The base of the card is Real Red cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  Run the front of the card through the Big Shot with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This folder is on page 13 of the Occasions catalog.  It's hidden in a corner.  You just might miss it.

Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies the cut the largest oval from Pink Pirouette.  This was attached to the card with dimensionals.

The Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies were used to cut the stems from Wild Wasabi cardstock.  Also cut 5 of the little bunches of flowers from Whisper White cardstock.

Glue down the green stems.  Some of the white flowers were glued under the stems and a few were glued on top.

The conversation hearts were stamped in Real Red using the Sure Do Love You stamp set.  Cut them out with the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.  They are attached with glue dots.

The little Real Red and Whisper White hearts were punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  I used the Multipurpose Liquid glue to attach them.

Use the Whisper White  1/4 inch Organza Ribbon for the bow.  It's attached with glue dots, too.

Sure Do Love You and Bouquet Bunch close up

The sentiment is stamped in Real Red using Sure Do Love You.  Punch it out with the Classic Label Punch.  Cut it apart and glue to the oval piece.

Sure Do Love You Bouquet Bunch inside

The sentiment on the inside is from Petal Palette.  Stamp a few more of the hearts.

Sure Do Love You with Bouquet Bunch card

Someone special will be getting this card.  I think it's so cute.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.  I hope you enjoyed it.
