Painted Harvest has become one of my all time favorite stamp sets. I was just noticing that I have several cards coming up in the next few days showing this set. I've already shared a few other projects here and here and here. There have been so many wonderful examples on Pinterest. One using purples really caught my eye. Here is my thank you card for September using the Note Cards & Envelopes.
The flowers are just so vibrant! I think they could hop right off the page. Here's how to make this card.
The base of the card is the Note Cards & Envelopes in Whisper White. I've said it before, but these note cards are one of the best values in the catalog! I often use them for my thank you cards.
The layer of Whisper White measures 3 1/4 x 4 3/4. This just adds a little interest to the card.
Use the largest flower image from Painted Harvest in Wisteria Wonder. Stamp 2 full flowers and part of another near the top. The smaller flower image is stamped in Elegant Eggplant. All I can say is WOW! Those colors are great. The center of the flower is stamped in Daffodil Delight.
With this set, I like to use a little mask when stamping the leaves so that the stem is not quite so long. I decided that I like stamping the detailed part of the stamp in Garden Green first. It makes it a little easier to get the solid stamp in the right place. I also decided not to obsess if everything didn't match perfectly. Stamp off the solid stamp first. It's also in Garden Green.
The words on the front are from the stamp set Thankful Thoughts. Stamp it in Elegant Eggplant.
The Solid Elegant Eggplant Twine is retired. I try not to put retired stuff on my blog, but this was just perfect. I bet some of you need to use up your eggplant twine! This card also looks good without any twine at all.
Use dimensionals on the back of the Whisper White layer to adhere to the card.
This is the inside of the card. The sentiment is again from the stamp set Thankful Thoughts. Add another flower.
Wouldn't you love getting this card in the mail? Make an online order in September and you will! It's so pretty! I'm telling you, you can't go wrong with this stamp set!
Thanks for stopping by today!
