My husband John and I just got back from a trip to Alaska. My Paper Pumpkin kit for July came the day before we left on the trip. I could tell it would be perfect. So now that we are home from our Positively Picturesque trip, I wanted to make a thank you card for our guide Casey. He was fantastic! Paper Pumpkin to the rescue! Here is my card.
I used the card base and layer with a circle from the July, 2017 Paper Pumpkin. Instead of using the wooden mountains from the kit, I traced around them in Basic Gray and Tranquil Tide and cut them out. I added some Pool Party at the bottom to be the ocean at the base of the mountains just like we saw from the cruise ship. Using the Embossing Paste, I added some snow on one mountain and a glacier, too.
The clouds are from the Up & Away Thinlits dies. Mount with dimensionals.
The trees are cut in Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide using the Card Front Builder dies that go with the Carols of Christmas stamp set. The lime tree is glued down and the tide trees are on dimensionals.
Add a little deer in Early Espresso from the same dies.
The sentiment is from the Positively Picturesque stamp set from the Paper Pumpkin kit stamped in Tranquil Tide.
Here's the inside of the card. I used the same trees and deer again. The sentiment here is from the stamp set All Things Thanks. I might need to reink that pad!
Thanks, Casey, for helping us have a stress free trip. There were a lot of firsts for us and it all went smoothly. Here's a picture of Casey in front of Denali. It was just clouding over, so you might have to search for Denali back there!
