It's so much fun to take part in swaps from stamping groups. Recently, the NC Demo Group had a 2" swap. That may sound a little crazy, but it's a great way to showcase bits of different products for my customers. Our swap had a few rules of course. We were to try to use new product and use the new 2017-2019 In Colors only. Here is my square.
I used a base of Fresh Fig measuring 2 inches square. The patterned paper is from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack. I used a piece of the Lemon Lime Twist measuring 1 7/8 inches square. Next, cut the flower from the Support Ribbon Framelits from Fresh Fig. Two leaves are cut from Tranquil Tide. A Clear Faceted Gem is placed in the center of the flower. Add in three rhinestones to complete the square.
I made several extras of these squares. While waiting to get all my traded squares from others in the mail, I decided to try a couple projects with my squares. After all, you might be wondering what can be done with these, right?
So, here is my first project. The square is on one of the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes found on page 195 of the annual catalog. I just love the note cards. They are a great value, too. The word courage is from the coordinating stamp set called Ribbon of Courage stamped in Fresh Fig. Add some of the Fresh Florals designer paper by tracing around the flap of the envelope, cut, and adhere. It's makes a cute little set, doesn't it?
Here's my next project. This is a standard A2 card. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. Fold. The Whisper White layer is 4 x 5 1/4. Add a strip of the Fresh Florals cut 1 x 5 1/4. Adhere the two squares. The sentiment is from the stamp set Beautiful Bouquet.
I just love our new In Colors. I used Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, and Fresh Fig. I love how these projects came together, too.
In my next post, I'll be sharing my project with all of the squares. I want to thank Tamra Davis for getting this swap together. I just love getting happy mail! See you next time! If you see any supplies you would like to have I'd love to have you buy them from me. I hope that doesn't sound shameless!
