A CASE with Beautiful Bouquet

Coffee, Anyone?

As soon as I saw the new catalog, I was smitten by the new Coffee Break Designer Series Paper.  Those are just my colors with the browns and greens and a little blue added in.  I just love it.  Sometimes you want to cover your card in pretty patterned paper.  It's hard to do that for a class if you have a lot of people coming unless you buy several packs.  That's why I chose to stamp the background for this card.

Coffee Cafe class card

This background looks very similar to the one in the Coffee Break package, but it was stamped using the Timeless Textures stamp set.  The cup stains and the dots were stamped in Early Express and in Soft Suede to resemble the patterned paper.  It's stamped on a card base of Thick Whisper White cut 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 and folded.

  • The two banners are cut from the Coffee Break paper.  They measure 1 1/4 x 4 1/4.  Notch them with the Triple Banner Punch.  Angle them on your card and then cut the ends to fit the card base.
  • The cup is stamped on Whisper White card stock in Early Espresso.  The lid and beans are also in Early Espresso.  Cut them all out with the Coffee Cups Framelits.  The sleeve on the cup is cut from Crumb Cake card stock.  The framelit cuts the shape and adds the embossing at the same time!
  • The heart is stamped in Versamark on Garden Green card stock.  Cover in white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool.  The heart is from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set.  Cut it out with the coordinating framelit in the Support Ribbon Framelits.  Adhere the heart with dimensionals.
  • Adhere the coffee cups with dimensionals.

Coffee Cafe Class card inside

The inside of the card uses more of the Timeless Textures coffee stains and the sentiment from Coffee Cafe.

We'll be making this card in my August classes.  I think it's really cute.

Coffee Cafe

I never drank coffee until after I retired.  Now I see what I was missing all those years. I love my coffee in the morning!  I'm still not a fancy coffee drinker.  I wouldn't know what to order in a Starbucks.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you will try this card.  It's pretty easy.  I'm sure you know a coffee drinker who would love to receive this card!
