Here we are again with the NC Demo Blog Hop for April!
This month we have a wide choice of topics for our hop. I've chosen a little of all three, Mother's Day, feminine, and maybe you could call it retiring. If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you got a free stamp set in celebration of Paper Pumpkin's third birthday and the sale of their one millionth Paper Pumpkin. It's lovely. It's the stamp set I chose to feature this month. It's a one time set, so I suppose you could say it's retired. Here's the video on the All About Everything Stamp Set.
I used the same color pallet for all three of my cards today. They are Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, and Blackberry Bliss. You are probably aware that Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss are retiring also. Sadness. Here's my first card.
I used the Blackberry Bliss for the base of the card. I stamped the Whisper White base with the fern stamp in Pear Pizzazz. The Mother's Day sentiment is from the stamp set Circle of Spring. I did wrap the sentiment rectangle in Linen Thread and top it with a bow. All of the rest is the All About Everything Stamp Set.
I think the inside makes this a perfect Mother's Day card, don't you?
My second card has a base of Mossy Meadow. I love the wider border on the outside of the card. The Whisper White piece measures 3 x 4 3/8. The Mossy Meadow piece is 3 1/4 x 4 5/8. Once again, I used the Linen Thread around the panel and then popped the panel up with dimensionals.
Here's the inside of the card. I carried over the theme of having a wide margin around the layer of white. The All About Everything Stamp Set is the only set I used for this card as well as for card number three.
This card is a little out of my comfort zone. The Paper Pumpkin kit came with a Very Vanilla ink spot. I must admit that I actually used Craft White ink. Again, I have a larger area outside of the focal piece. I stamped the base layer with the fern stamp and the flower bunch stamp. There is lots of layering on this card starting with a Mossy Meadow base, and alternating with Rich Razzleberry. I stuck in a layer of Blackberry Bliss to add a little interest.
Here's the inside. I left most of it blank. I have to admit that I love to make and send cards. I don't like to write in them. That's why I always finish the inside. It leaves less space to write. So, here are all of the cards together. I think they make a cute set.
